Wisconsin Rapids Candidate Not Ready to Concede
Thursday, November 8th, 2012 -- 8:55 AM
-A Wisconsin Rapids firefighter is pondering a recount after unofficial results from Tuesday's elections show he trails Republican state Representative Scott Krug by just 114 votes.Justin Pluess says he isn't conceding defeat and he wants to see what the official canvass in central Wisconsin's 72nd Assembly District race before he makes a decision on a recount. He says he wants to make sure every vote counts.
As things stand now, Pluess' recount would cost him nothing because the margin separating the candidates is less than half a percent.
Krug, who also hails from Wisconsin Rapids, says Pluess might pick up a few votes here or there in a recount but he can't make up a 114-vote margin.
