Led Zep Reunion Tour?

Report: LED ZEPPELIN Reunion Tour Could Be Biggest Ever - July 31, 2007
Ray Waddell of Billboard magazine reports: It would be big. Potentially one of the biggest ever.
I'm talking, of course, about the increased chatter regarding a LED ZEPPELIN reunion tour for 2008 featuring founding members Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar and John Paul Jones on bass, with Jason Bonham, son of the late ZEP drummer John Bonham, manning the skins.
There has been no announcement that this tour is going to happen, and Plant has publicly denied it will take place. Billboard in general and myself in particular aren't usually in the rumor business. But this thing is starting to take on a certain air of reality. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.
For years, a LED ZEPPELIN tour, or the closest thing to it in the absence of John Bonham, has been considered the holy grail of the touring world.
Plant and Page toured arenas together in the mid-'90s. With a killer backing band, the pair reported $31.4 million from 63 shows that drew 1,028,678 people. That was enough to make Plant/Page the seventh-grossing tour of the year at a time when THE ROLLING STONES, THE GRATEFUL DEAD and THE EAGLES were all touring stadiums.

AEROSMITH Fans Complain Of Poor View At P.E.I. Show Stage - July 26, 2007
Nick Moore of Times & Transcript reports: While the band AEROSMITH was performing to a crowd of nearly 30,000 this weekend in Prince Edward Island (Canada), many trying to see Steven Tyler belt out hit after hit claimed they could see little but the back of the person's head in front of them.
Since Saturday's concert in Charlottetown, Internet message boards have been filling up with posted grievances from several VIP ticket holders who paid close to $250 to get what they claimed to be a pitiful view of the stage.
There's even been threats of an organized lawsuit levelled against the co-ordinator of the Island's outdoor concert - David Carver Entertainment.
In Charlottetown this weekend, there was one screen behind AEROSMITH as they performed on stage. However, the flat ground of the racetrack venue had some claiming they couldn't see it past the crowds in front of them.

Brad Delp's Estate (Strange?)

Late BOSTON Frontman's Ex-Wife, Children Fighting To Hold Onto Singer's Estate - July 26, 2007
Carol Beggy and Mark Shanahan of The Boston Globe report: Life's not getting any easier for the family of Brad Delp, the former BOSTON frontman who committed suicide in March. Waiting for next month's star-studded concert celebrating Delp's life and legacy, the rocker's ex-wife and children are fighting to hold onto the singer's estate. Micki Delp, who was married to the "More Than a Feeling" singer from 1980 to 1996, says she was stunned to learn that her ex left his Atkinson, N.H., house to a long-ago girlfriend named Patricia Komor. Currently, the house is occupied by Pamela Sullivan, who was Delp's fiancee at the time of his death. She and Micki Delp are now joining forces to fight Komor's claim. "My understanding always has been that the kids would get everything," Micki told The Boston Globe yesterday. "And if and when Pam moved out, the house would be sold, and the proceeds split."

"Inside" Steven Tyler
from blabbermouth.net
AEROSMITH Frontman's Vocal Cords to Be Examined In National Geographic Special According to Multichannel.com , National Geographic Channel will feature a close-up of AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler's vocal cords in a special scheduled during the next 12 months. Tyler's throat surgery, necessary after years of shrieking on stage, is part of "Incredible Human Machine", an inside look at the mechanical processes of the human body. It was the singer's vocal cords that seemed to intrigue the Television Critics Association, who peppered the performer's laryngeal surgeon with questions about the images of Tyler's throat in the October 21 special.
