"I was happy with the way semis went, i just wanted to be top 2 and make it through. I knew it wasn't going to be easy and the conditions were horrible. but I feel I ran smart and that will help me in the finals. The track surface was fine, it was the wind and the rain that made it tough."

"Awesome race. Crowd was unbelievable, it was a Golden League meeting which are among the largest in Europe. I was pleased with the race in getting 2nd and seeing a lot of the guys I will race at the Worlds. It gives me confidence going into Helsinki and it was a great experience."

July 3rd, 2005 - Padova, Italy

"Smaller race, just kind of wanted to get the feeling of running in Europe after flying and being jet lagged. I was pretty tired because I hadn't slept much the days before. The track was slow, but it was a good first meet in Europe."

"I looked left and thought I was in fourth or fifth, but I kept thinking I have to make this team. I just pushed hard through the line."

"I was happy with the race and the consistancy of my season so far. I feel my conditioning is very good for this time of year and am excited for the upcoming weeks. The experience of the past few big races is helping my confidence out a ton. My next race is Prefontaine, which I am very excited about."

May 7th, 2005 - Kingston, Jamaica

"It was great weather, but I was in Lane 8. I was a bit worried being out and having so many fast guys inside of me. I got out extremely hard and did not hear anyone until 350 meters into the race. Merritt then pulled up along side and I just didn't quite have enough left to beat him. It was close. (Merritt) and Wariner are great runners and they bring the best out in me. I am looking forward to racing them both again."
