United Way of Marathon County Hosting Lottsa Pasta Food Drive

(Chris Conley, WSAU and WAOW) United Way of Marathon County is hosting their first ‘Lottsa Pasta Food Drive’.

According to Chris Conley with WSAU and WAOW, the drive is expected to last until May 1st, and all noddles are being distributed to food pantries in Marathon County. Amanda Flannery is the Director of Resource Development at United Way of Marathon County and she states that pasta can be very useful food item.

“You can never get enough of it, because it is a stable food item. It can feed a lot of people, and it’s so versatile with all the different things you can use it for,” said Flannery.

Area businesses and schools are also getting involved with the drive by placing donation boxes in their establishments. Some Marathon County donation locations include:

• Wausau Window and Wall Systems,
• Van Ert Electric Company Inc.,
• UnitedHealth Group,
• REI Engineering, Inc.,
• Regal Rexnord,
• Nicolet National Bank,
• Marathon Bank,
• Festival Foods,
• Greenheck,
• Children’s Wisconsin,
• And Bling it Around Again.
